The FTP Accounts section in Your Apex Managed Panel provides all the tools you need to manage file transfer access for your hosting account. Whether you’re adding new accounts, editing existing ones, or managing storage quotas, the intuitive interface ensures a seamless experience for beginners and advanced users alike.

Here’s a complete guide to help you effectively manage FTP accounts in Your Apex Managed Panel.

Viewing FTP Account Details

Once you’ve added your first FTP account, the details will be displayed in a sortable table. The table includes the following key information for each account:

  • User: The username for accessing the FTP account.
  • Directory: The file directory to which the FTP account provides access.
  • Usage / Quota: Displays current storage usage compared to the assigned quota. If no quota is set, the account will display as having unlimited storage.
  • Last Update Time: The most recent update time for the account details.

The table also features action buttons on the far right, allowing you to manage each account with ease.

Adding a New FTP Account

Creating a new FTP account is simple and only takes a few steps:

  1. Click the Add Account button located above the table.
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    • Username: Choose a unique username for the account.
    • Password: Either create a secure password or use the auto-generate option for added convenience.
    • Directory: Specify the directory the account will have access to.
    • Storage Quota: Set a custom storage limit in MB or leave it as unlimited.

Once saved, the new account will appear in the table, ready for use.

Editing FTP Account Settings

For existing FTP accounts, you can perform several updates to ensure they meet your needs. Use the action buttons next to an account in the table to:

  • View Access Details: Double-check the username, directory, and quota assigned to the account.
  • Change Password: Enter a new password to update login credentials securely.
  • Adjust Storage Quota: Increase, decrease, or remove the quota entirely to manage storage allocation.

These options give you full control over account customization and security.

Deleting an FTP Account

If an FTP account is no longer needed, you can remove it to maintain organized access records:

  • Find the account you wish to delete in the table.
  • Click the Delete action button next to it.
  • Confirm the deletion to permanently remove the account details.

This process ensures only active, essential accounts are kept on your hosting panel.

Searching for FTP Accounts

To quickly locate a specific FTP account, use the search bar positioned near the Add Account button. Simply type in part of the username or directory, and the list will automatically filter to match your query.
